ABOUT THE PHOTO
Taken from an event in late 2020 at Southend Airport, where Avro Vulcan XL426, maintained by her determined volunteers, performed a series of fast-taxi runs over the course of the day. I attended the morning set, and was truly amazed at the professionalism of the crew, and extremely happy to hear that classis 'Howl' as she blasted down the active runway. These are a series of shots after she had performed for the crowd that morning, needing a well earned rest, and to be readied by the volunteers for the next taxi runs in the afternoon.
