ABOUT THE PHOTO
The Gloster Gladiator being prepped for the Season Premiere airshow back in 2019. It was built as a biplane fighter in the mid-1930s, and was also the last biplane to be built for the RAF, as it was rendered obsolete against the newer monoplane designs at the start of WWII. Though it was still used in most campaigns of the Second World War, it proved itself reasonably well in combat, fighting in the skies above France, Norway, Greece and Malta.
