ABOUT THE PHOTO
The Folland Gnat is a British compact swept-wing subsonic fighter aircraft that was developed and produced by Folland Aircraft. The Gnat became well known due to its prominent use as the display aircraft of the RAF's Red Arrows aerobatic team. The Gnat F1, seen here, was exported to Finland, Yugoslavia and India, with the latter eventually manufacturing it themselves. I really like the contrasting skies above the Gnat F1 in this image, and the reflections on the recent puddles from that afternoon. It really shows off the low profile of the Gnat and its sleek airframe.
